For Cathelijn Genderloos’ first official album release, I had the honor of designing the full visual direction, including the album cover and four connected single covers. She requested an illustrative approach, and after listening to the tracks, I felt the entire album carried a warm, melancholic tone a feeling she described herself as whisky and wine at night.
Cathelijn shared her admiration for Van Gogh’s “Café Terrace at Night”, wanting to capture a similar atmosphere for her own release. For the album cover, I created my own interpretation of that scene: an abstract, moody night terrace with Cathelijn seated at the bar, looking out toward the street.
